The European Commission has published the CBAM certificate price for the third quarter of 2026: €82.32/tCO₂e. After two quarters around €75, the price has risen for the first time — up €7.04 (9.4%) on Q2. The last quarterly price follows on 4 January 2027; from 2027 the Commission moves to weekly prices.

Jordan Green Building Council launched the “Promoting the Circular Economy Market and Life Cycle Assessment” project in Amman with support from GIZ's GAIN programme. Running to April 2027, it targets building materials, construction, chemicals and engineering with LCA training, pilot studies and EPD publication. A concrete step in the definitive period's verification infrastructure: from 1 September 2026 the CBAM Registry is open to accredited verifiers. Verifiers must register within two months of accreditation (but not before 1 September); verification reports will be issued through the Registry from January 2027.

Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2026/1310, published on 28 August 2026, says one clear thing in row 10 of Annex II: the environmental sustainability characteristic — for all product families, all categories, all intended uses — is tied to AVS 3+. That means notified-body verification and factory inspection. Whether existing EPDs will be recognised remains unanswered.

The 141-page guidance is addressed to verifiers and national accreditation bodies; it explains the verification timeline, the materiality threshold, site-visit rules and precursor production-year rules. It is not legally binding.
